The @schiaparelli Haute Couture SS23 show in Paris featured 30 000 @swarovski crystals applied by hand by Doja Cat Couture @dojacat, the fashion house announced on Instagram. As part of his stunning ensemble, the rapper wore a “red silk faille bustier,” a “hand-knit skirt of lacquered wooden beads” and “trompe l’œil toe boots.”
The makeup artist Pat McGrath revealed that Doja’s glittering face took four hours and 58 minutes to create.
McGrath thanked the Grammy winner for her “sublime patience” during the process, describing the final product as a magical, mesmerizing masterpiece of sparkling brilliance.
The fashion show featured Naomi Campbell, Shalom Harlow and Irina Shayk strutting down the runway in haute couture gowns embellished with giant animal heads in a nod to Dante’s Inferno.
