    His dad, Johnnie Cochran Sr. (1916-2018), was an insurance sales rep, and his mom sold Avon items. He experienced childhood in Los Angeles, California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business financial aspects from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1959.
