An Amazon pilot program has contracted Flex drivers picking up and delivering packages from malls, which could help Amazon fulfill orders for same-day or two-day deliveries. Bloomberg reported that the program has been running since last year and was first unveiled by Bloomberg.
A few sellers out of the thousands on Amazon are taking part in the program. Amazon spokesperson Lauren Samaha said the company doesn’t disclose which ones.

Amazon has a service for driver-partners that deliver packages in their own vehicle. Unlike other services, Amazon Flex drivers can choose to pick up packages from Amazon delivery stations or local stores. Drivers are also able to make deliveries at the mall.
Recently, it was reported that Amazon is testing a new delivery service. The idea is that rural shops can deliver packages for Amazon and make a little money on the side. It’s not surprising that Amazon is experimenting with many different options - they are always looking for ways to reduce the costs of postage.
