The Queen is having a Trooping of the Colour procession on June 8th, 2022 to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made an appearance as well.

Suits alumna, Meghan, 40, wore a off-the-shoulder navy dress with a huge sun hat while her husband Harry was in the Major General’s Office of Buckingham Palace.

The Princess Eugenie and her husband arrived to the wedding, but only appeared to be in a low-key way. However, after being introduced to other family members, it was found out that they are special guests of the Queen.

Markle was spotted goofing around with some of the younger members of the family. She was pictured giggling with the Queen’s great-granddaughters Savannah Phillips, 11, and Isla Phillips, 10.

The Queen, age 96 waved with other British royalty including Prince Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Markle and Harry, who are no longer working royals, were not invited to the photo op.

Buckingham Palace previously said in a statement. “The Queen is not going to the balcony this year. She has decided to stay indoors and be there with her family and Buckingham Palace staff,”.

Every year, the Trooping of the Colour celebrates the Queen’s birthday with a parade with more than 1000 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians.

Founded under the reign of King Charles II in 1748, the birthday of the British Sovereign has been honoured each year in June for over 260 years.

The Queen also celebrated her birthday on April 21, the day she was actually born.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and their children were expected to attend the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration. This is the first time that they have visited this event since resigning from their royal duties in early 2020 and moving to California.

The Queen is also expected to celebrate her granddaughter Lilibet’s 1st birthday Saturday by meeting her great-granddaughter for the first time.

The Sussexes were invited to visit the Queen in April. They stopped in London on their way to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games, which was their first time back in Harry’s homeland together since Megxit.

While in town, they also reunited with Charles, 73, and Camilla Parker Bowles, William’s mother. They did not cross paths with Prince William or Kate Middleton.

After speaking out against the British government for not providing enough security, Harry also went home without Markle to attend a memorial service for his late mother, Princess Diana, in July 2021 and his grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral that April.
