Elvis Presley’s hair auctioned for Rs 12 crore

Los Angeles: Famous American singer Elvis Presley’s little bunch of hair was auctioned last week for لاکھ 725,000 (Rs. 122.2 million).

The haircut was auctioned off last week at Cross GWS Auctions in Los Angeles.

According to the details, this bunch of hair is securely sealed in a jar along with several documents and confirmation certificates which prove that this hair really belongs to Elvis Presley.

The hair was kept by Elvis Presley’s personal barber, Homer Gailland, who had cut the famous American singer’s hair for more than 20 years.

Gailland later gave the hair as a gift to her and Elvis Presley’s mutual friend, Thomas Morgan, who had been with her for a long time and then put it up for auction last week.

The auction also included Elvis Presley’s outfit he wore during a 1972 performance at Madison Square Garden. The dress sold for لاکھ 1,12,500.

Earlier in 2009, Elvis Presley’s hair was auctioned for 15,000 dollars, compared to which the bunch has sold for much more.
