The 2022 Oscars were a momentous occasion, as several groundbreaking achievements were made. CODA, released by Apple TV+, secured the best picture award, marking the first time a streaming service film has won this accolade. Actor Troy Kotsur took home an acting Oscar, becoming the first deaf man to do so. Additionally, Ariana DeBose of West Side Story won best supporting actress and became the first openly queer woman of color to achieve this feat. In another memorable highlight from the event, Will Smith was involved in a viral moment before receiving his best actor award – one for the history books! With all these incredible accomplishments achieved in 2022’s ceremony, we can’t wait to see what will happen at next year’s Oscars!

It’s the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 12, 2023. It will air live on ABC from 8:00pm ET, as well as on streaming services like Hulu Live TV, YouTubeTV, and FuboTV. For red carpet arrivals, watch E! at 5:00pm ET.

As a result of the pandemic in 2021, the ceremony was moved to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles so that physically distant seats could be accommodated. The event will return to its home since 2002 in 2023 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, though it has since been renamed Ovation Hollywood.

d time is an honor for Jimmy Kimmel, who will take over from a trio of hosts that included Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, and Wanda Sykes in the previous ceremony. Critics had mixed reactions to their performance. When Kimmel hosted in 2017 and 2018, he experienced one of the most talked-about moments in Oscars history when La La Land was wrongly announced as Best Picture before Moonlight’s victory was revealed. With this experience behind him, Kimmel will undoubtedly strive to ensure there are no such errors during his upcoming hosting duties.
