Deputy at home of Bengals’ Joe Mixon after shooting report in Anderson Township

A juvenile was taken to the hospital Monday night after shots were fired around a home associated with Bengals running back Joe Mixon in Anderson Township, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials have not released any information about the juvenile’s condition or the circumstances of the reported shooting. No arrests have been reported.

Ayers Road home in the 7900 block was patrolled by police Monday night. Deputies responded just before 8:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

As deputies investigated a home in the block, a second residence was included in the investigation. This second address matches the address of a prior incident in which Mixon was accused of aggravated menacing, the charges were later dropped.

On the Hamilton County Auditor’s website, the home’s owner has been listed as a trust since 2021.

Deputies entered Mixon’s home but did not arrest him. Mixon, 26, is in his sixth season with the Bengals and recently stated that he wanted to stay with them throughout his career.

A request for documents and recordings related to this incident has been made by the Enquirer, and the story will be updated as more information becomes available.
