Early Life:

Chris Hemsworth was born on August 11, 1983, in Melbourne, Australia, to Craig Hemsworth and Leonie Hemsworth. Hemsworth’s mother was an English teacher and his father a social-services counselor; his two brothers, Luke Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth, also became actors. After attending Heathmont Secondary College, the aspiring star snagged minor roles in television shows Down Under. Hemsworth has one older brother, Luke, and one younger brother, Liam. Both his brothers are actors as well. 


Personal life:

Chris Hemsworth married a fiancee Elsa Pataky on Christmas weekend in 2010 in Australia.

Two years later, the couple welcomed their baby girl, India, into the world. Hemsworth immediately vowed to teach his daughter to surf — just as soon as she could walk. In an interview with Yahoo, Hemsworth said, “Having a baby has made everything else less important, and it’s just wonderful.” The couple added to their growing family with the arrival of twin boys, Tristan and Sasha, in 2014. 


Chris Hemsworth began his career by appearing in television series. In 2002, Hemsworth starred in two episodes of fantasy television series Guinevere Jones as King Arthur, as well as making an appearance in soap opera series Neighbours and one episode of Marshall Law. The following year, he appeared in an episode of The Saddle Club. In 2004, Hemsworth auditioned for the role of Robbie Hunter in the Australian soap opera Home and Away.

He did not receive the part but was subsequently recalled for the part of Kim Hyde. He moved to Sydney to join the cast, appearing in 171 episodes of the series. He left the cast of Home and Away on 3 July 2007. Hemsworth later revealed that though he became more visible after Home and Away, his work in a soap opera did not earn him respect from the film industry. Chris also participated as a contestant in the reality show Dancing with the Stars Australia, Partnered with Professional dancer Abbey Ross. He also worked in the Star Trek as George Kirk, James T.
