It’s goodbye to Ryan Seacrest’s morning co-host duties with Kelly Ripa.
On Thursday, Seacrest and Ripa announced the news on “Live with Kelly and Ryan.”
Seacrest said, “I’ve decided to make this my last season as co-host.”
Despite the fact that you’ve been a friend for so long, you’ve become family to us, Ripa said. “I’m incredibly proud of you and cheer you on endlessly.”
Due to how much fun he’s had hosting the show, Seacrest committed to three years in the beginning, but ended up staying for six.
Because he’s had so much fun hosting the show, Seacrest had originally committed to three years on the show.
As for his replacement, Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos will take over the show.
In the past, Consuelos has appeared countless times alongside Ripa on the show.
In 2017, when ABC began searching for Strahan’s replacement, Seacrest became one of the most well-known broadcasters in the world.
His other jobs include hosting “American Idol” and his nationally syndicated radio shows for iHeartMedia. “Live” is based in New York; Seacrest’s primary residence is in Los Angeles.
