Lawyer releases documents from Brian Laundrie’s notebook in which he admits to killing Gabby Petito

CNN affiliate WINK released the eight pages from Brian Laundrie’s notebook that were found near his remains in Florida last October, according to a news release.

Laundrie wrote in the notebook, “I’m sorry to everyone this will affect. Gabby was the love of my life but I know she loved many. I’m so very sorry to her family, because I love them.”

He wrote in another article about his dog Petito’s accident and what he did to help her.

He wrote in his suicide letter: “I don’t know the extent of Gabby’s ingerys (sic) only that she was in extreme pain. I ended her life, I thought it was merciful, that it is what she wanted, but I see now all the mistakes I made. I panicked. I was in shock. But from the moment I decided, took away her pain, I knew I couldn’t go on without her.”

The cause of Petito’s death was ruled to be strangulation, and the manner of death was homicide, according to Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent .

Bertolino released pages from Laundrie’s personal notebook after a meeting with the FBI and an attorney for Petito’s family to collect the personal belongings of Laundrie and Petito.

On January 21, Bertolino released a video with evidence that Brian is responsible for the death of Gabby. The FBI got back some property in relation to the case and included a note in their release. The public can see this notebook on the website or on YouTube as soon as they are processed by the FBI.

The notebook that was recovered only had eight pages in it. It is unknown how they were arranged.

Laundrie wrote on the last page released, “I have killed myself by this creek in the hopes that annimals (sic) may tear me apart. That it may make some of her family happy.”

The letter was written with a different pen than the previous ones. It said, “Please pick up all of my things. Gabby hated people who litter.”
