Salman Khan was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, on December 27, 1965. He is the son of a fabulous writer Salim Khan, who confined a number of super hits in the past years like Deewaar, Sholay, and Don. Salman Khan’s birth mother’s name was Sushila Charak. However, after marriage, she changed her name to Salma Khan. He has two brothers Arbaz Khan and Sohail Khan. He also has two sisters named Alvira and Arpita.

Salman Khan started learning acting for the first time after he dropped out of college. Salman Khan, Sajid Khan, and Chunky Pandey learned acting from Daisy Irani’s acting institute in Mumbai.
After taking his training from Daisy Irani’s Acting School Salman Khan went on to make a career in the field of acting. He worked as a model in his beginning days in the industry. Then, in 1988, he made his debut as a supporting actor in the film Biwi Ho To Aisi. His second film Maine Pyar Kiya in which he acted in a lead role that garnered him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He acted in many commercially successful films, such as Saajan (1991), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), Karan Arjun (1995), Judwaa (1997), Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998), Biwi No.1 (1999) and Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), having appeared in the highest-grossing films for nine consecutive years during his career, a record that remains unbroken. In 2003, Khan earned praise for playing a scorned lover in the romantic film Tere Naam and made a brief appearance in the family drama Baghban.
