WH40K Space Marine 2 PS5 Pro Performance Specs
On the base PS5, Space Marine 2 offered two graphical modes – a Quality mode running at dynamic 4K resolution at 30fps, and a Performance mode running at dynamic 4K resolution at 30fps. However, the internal resolution before upscaling to 4K in both modes was quite low, often below 1440p and 1080p in respective modes, leading to a somewhat blurry image.
On the PS5 Pro, the internal resolution is getting a modest bump, while using PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) to resolve a sharper image. Here’s a look at Space Marine 2’s specs on the PS5 Pro vs the PS5:
Specs | PS5 | PS5 Pro |
Quality Mode Resolution | 1080p – 1440p with upscale FSR to 4K | 1080p – 2160p with upscale PSSR to 4K |
Quality Mode Frame Rate | 30 FPS | 30 FPS |
Performance Mode Resolution | 720p – 1080p with upscale FSR to 4K | 1080p – 1440p with upscale PSSR to 4K |
Performance Mode Frame Rate | 60 FPS | 60 FPS |
Unfortunately, PS5 Pro owners won’t be able to play the game at 60fps without compromising on the visual quality. However, early results of PSSR upscaling on existing games show a marked improvement in image quality over the base PS5.
Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2 is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
