Korean publisher Neowiz revealed a story trailer for Lies of P: Overture, the upcoming DLC for the soulslike surprise hit from 2023. Set to be released in Summer 2025, Overture will dive into the main game’s backstory and serve as a prequel to Pinocchio’s adventure in the city of Krat.

The expansion’s narrative will focus on Lea, the legendary Stalker, and explore her connection to Pinocchio. Players will also experience the final, grandiose days of Krat as they play through a story of “pain, loss, and revenge.” Overture enables players to venture outside of the city for the first time as well, unlocking brand-new locations.

Alongside a fresh story and previously unseen areas, the DLC will feature new weapons and Legion Arms that allow for the creation of additional combat styles.

“The narrative in Lies of P: Overture is a tale of vengeance, impending tragedy, and dark secrets that haunt those that wanted them locked away,” explained game director Jiwon Choi. “Our players have been eager to learn more about the events that led to the Puppet Frenzy massacre and the collapse of the City of Krat, and we look forward to delivering the truth this summer.”

Alongside the DLC, developer Round8 Studio is currently working on a sequel to Lies of P. The action RPG is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
