JE Bakery 2019, LLC voluntarily recalled its six count raisin bran muffins due to a labeling error, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said on Friday.

Why It Matters
The affected product was mislabeled and contains “Glorious Morning Muffins” instead, which contains walnuts, a known allergen not declared on the label, the FDA wrote on its website.
Tree nuts are a known food allergen, along with eggs, fish, milk, peanuts, Crustacean shellfish, sesame, wheat and soybeans. Millions of Americans are impacted by food allergies or sensitivities, the FDA says. Food allergies could lead to allergic reactions and in severe instances develop into life-threatening symptoms.
What To Know
The recalled muffins were distributed throughout grocery stores around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. The muffins have a sell by date of 2/18/2025 and are packed in a clear container.
The muffins weighed 12 ounces and were labeled as these brands, the FDA says: Cub Foods, Jerrys Foods, and Country Market. The impacted product has a UPC number of 0 29341-00233. As of the alert, no illnesses have been reported, the FDA says.
The labeling issue was first discovered after a retail location reported the concern. The recalled muffins have been removed from store shelves and “all impacted stores have been notified,” the FDA says.

It added: “The FDA provides public access to information on recalls by posting a listing of recalls according to their classification in the FDA Enforcement Report, including the specific action taken by the recalling company. The FDA Enforcement Report is designed to provide a public listing of products in the marketplace that are being recalled.”
What Happens Next
Customers who have purchased the recalled muffins may return them to the original place of purchase for a refund and are asked not to eat the product.
