Jelly Roll continues to impress the world with his weight loss journey.

The famed rapper and country singer hasn’t been shy about sharing details of his efforts to get healthier. Now, the 40-year-old Grammy-nominated artist proudly proves that his dedicated work is paying off.

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Deford, was one of the many musicians who performed at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards which took place on Thursday, December 12 and aired on FOX and Paramount+. During his performance of “Liar” Jelly Roll wore a fun yellow jacket, along with a backward cap, dark pants, and looked like a million bucks.

That’s not all. The talented musician also took home his first-ever Billboard Music Award for his featured work on the song “All My Life” with the band Falling in Reverse. The team beat out Hardy, Linkin Park, Superheaven, and Tech N9ne.

Jelly Roll’s journey can be traced back to a post he made on X (formerly known as Twitter) on February 28, 2023. On that day he wrote: “Just know that I’m doing my part — I’m working out daily… praying and meditating …. Eating better – losing weight. Making sure I bring the best version of me on my new album and this tour… this is what growth and gratitude look like in real time.”

Since that post, Jelly Roll has made good on his promise. He further expressed this decision to get healthy during an interview with Entertainment Tonight this past November.

“I just want to feel good. want to feel normal,” Jelly Roll told the outlet. “I’ve been morbidly obese my entire life. I wanna feel normal, that’s just something I want to do. I’m pretty committed to it. I’m also glad I’m being so honest about it because I want the world to see it.”

While Jelly Roll continues to put a focus on living a healthier life, his career opportunities have yet to slow down. Snoop Dogg recently stated that he would love to see Jelly Roll as a judge on the hit reality series The Voice, with the rap legend later adding that their bromance is one of a kind.
