Superstar guard Luka Doncic is the newest addition to the Lakers, and everyone is excited to see him play. Heading into the game against the Jazz, Doncic was listed as questionable on the injury report.
However, it seems that the star guard will indeed suit up. Doncic was upgraded to available and will make his debut with the Lakers tonight against Utah.
JJ Redick said Luka Doncic will be on a minutes restriction, per the Lakers’ medical staff, but did not specify a minutes total.

Having Doncic on the floor changes everything for the Lakers. His ability to score the ball efficiently and effectively gives this team something they have been missing.
For too long, the Lakers have been reliant on star LeBron James to run the offense. But now, with Doncic, James will have some of the pressure taken off him, freeing him up to do other things on the court.

The pairing of Doncic and James has all the potential to be one of the best that the league has seen. They are both two of the best players in the NBA today and the duo has put fear into the hearts of opposing teams.
The Lakers’ trade of Doncic was as blockbuster as can be. Sending star big man Anthony Davis out of town was certainly a risk but landing a 25-year-old star like Doncic is a gamble that Los Angeles was willing to take.

Doncic will now likely be the face of the Lakers franchise for years to come. In one move, the Lakers completely reset the next decade, giving them a major star for the post-James era.
The guard has all the tools to be successful in Los Angeles, and his desire to win resembles some of the greats who played before him. His debut marks a new era of Lakers basketball, one that the fans have been eager to see since the trade was announced over a week ago.
