You know Angelina Jolie — she’s an Oscar-winning actor, a philanthropist, and, on top of all that, a dedicated mom.
As I’m sure you’re aware, Angelina shares six children with her ex, Brad Pitt — Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
Being the offspring of one of the most famous Hollywood couples ever, Brad and Angie’s kids are no strangers to the spotlight. And as they’ve gotten older, we’re beginning to learn even more about their individual interests.
Now, during her first talk-show appearance in a decade, Angie has given an update on her kids’ various goals and aspirations as they begin to navigate adulthood — and her answer may not be what you were expecting.
When asked by The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon if her children are keen to follow in their parents’ movie-making footsteps, Angelina said that some of the kids would enjoy working behind the scenes — but that there’s actually something they want far more.
“I think some of them [would like to work] off-camera, behind the scenes,” she said, “but they really, really wanna be — especially Shiloh — would really like to be private.”
Jimmy pointed out that privacy must be “tricky” for the kids to attain when they’ve been “famous” for so long, prompting laughter from the audience. However, Angelina was quick to tell it like it is.
If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that Shiloh found herself in the headlines earlier this year when she filed to legally change her last name from “Jolie-Pitt” to “Jolie” on her 18th birthday.
Neither Brad nor Angelina have commented directly on Shiloh’s name change, although a source close to Brad told People in June that he is “aware and upset” by the move. A month later, the outlet also reported that he “has virtually no contact” with his adult children.
