Ho Chi Minh City: A Vietnamese national has been sentenced to five years in prison and fined 200,000 Vietnamese dong (approximately 1.5 million Pakistani rupees) for spreading the corona virus.
According to the Thanh Ninh newspaper, Li Van Tri, a resident of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, went to his hometown of Mao in July this year on a motorcycle.
In those days, the Vietnamese government banned anyone who went to “Ka Mao” from being quarantined for 21 days on their return and not asking to see anyone.
Not only did Li Wan Tri quietly return to his home province, but he also returned in secret, without quarantining himself.
He later wrote in an affidavit regarding his health that he had not been out of Ho Chi Minh City for the past few weeks, although he had gone to “Ka Mao” and spent some days with his relatives. He also stayed.
Li Van Tri’s lies had to be borne by his family and loved ones because a few days later, not only did he become infected with the corona virus, but eight more people became infected with the corona.
Even more tragic was the death of one of the eight men, who did not know that “Lee Van Tri” had just returned from his home province a few days ago, where the coronavirus had spread. Was intensely spread.
Epidemiologists in Ho Chi Minh City soon learned that Li Wan Tri had not only returned to his home province, but had not quarantined himself on his return.
He was tried and, after recovering, was produced in court.
